Jim Long Opened the Doors To the Public in the Madison East Center Located On the East Side of Town. the Store Was Originally Known As Knights Chamber and It Was Opening for the First Time. Little Did Anyone Know What Would Come the Next Thirty Years. the Store Started Out Like Many Other Men's Clothing Stores in the 1980’s. Driven by Suits, Shirts and Ties. Over the Years, the Store Evolved To What It Is To This Day. A Place Where Men of All Walks Can Come and Get Clothed in Quality From Top-Tier Casual Brands To Modern Suits and Sport Coats. J. Longs Has Seen Many Locations in Mankato Since Its Inception. It Was Located in the Madison East Center for Its Formative Years, Only To Move To the River Hills Mall for the Better Part of Two Decades. in August of 2010, the Move Was Made Out of the Mall Setting To A Free Standing Strip Center Known As the River Place Center. With the Business Continuing To Grow, J. Longs Made A Move in September of 2017 To Purchase Their Own Building On Hilltop Mankato's Popular Shopping Corridor, Madison Avenue. To This Day J.
